The busts (excluding the roman emperor) were originally designed to be placed on a wall mount (shown) and then mounted onto the outside of the next dolls house that we were designing. Due to unforseen circumstances the dolls house is on hold so I have decided to release the busts for sale.
They are incredibly detailed and look best when the raw resin is given a wash to bring out the detailing.
Made from a high grade resin
Sold individually
Plinth sold individually
Finishes: Busts are supplied unpainted and usually off white although sometimes they can be cast in grey. To paint the busts there are a number of techniques you could use the easiest being a "wash" of colour. For example you could apply a wash (water and paint) of raw umber - or for a more dusty look add some Rotten stone powder to the model before it dries and then dust off the excess powder.
Alternatively you can paint them. Ideally prime the bust first but not essential (resin and the rubber it is cast in contain oils that will sometimes interfere with the way the paint sticks to the resin) You can use all manner of paints from car spray paints and craft spray paints through to acrylics and emulsion (paint you paint your walls with).
